An In-depth Qualification

Through diagnostic techniques and basic and advanced massage therapy, you will be able to determine the cause of many musculoskeletal problems and provide comprehensive treatment plans.

"Comprehensive" also describes the course itself, which is the most intensive in Australia. The ACNT qualification is highly regarded by industry associations for its deep understanding of the scientific and practical principles of massage, and by employers for the superior skills exhibited by graduates.

Course modules

Hands-on Training to Complete Your Qualification

This massage course requires first aid training as part of the course curriculum. If you've previously completed a first aid course which meets the national competencies for the National Training Package HLTFA301B - Apply First Aid (including St. John Ambulance Senior First Aid Certificate), you'll receive credit for this part of the course.

You will also be required to complete 150 hours of practical clinical training which you can undertake at ACNT's campus in Sydney. If you live outside of Sydney, you can undertake your training at an approved local clinic or practice.

Articulation and Upgrade Pathways

Through ACNT's articulation arrangement with Charles Sturt University, you may apply for entrance into the University's Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicine) degree program, using your qualification to gain advanced standing.

You may also upgrade your qualification in a number of ways, with advanced standing for completed modules:

Industry Accreditation

This course is recognised by:

  • ATMS - Australian Traditional Medicine Society
  • AAMT - Australian Association of Massage Therapists
  • ARM - Association of Remedial Masseurs
Option 1:

Complete a few additional spa modules to graduate with the industry-recognised Diploma of Remedial Massage and Spa Therapy. Contact a SEEK Learning consultant now for more details.

Option 2:

Enrol in the 1-year (full-time) Diploma of Integrated Body Therapies course and graduate with three separate qualifications:

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage
  • Certificate IV in Aromatherapy
  • Diploma of Integrated Body Therapies
